HOW TO USE
SIMMERING LIGHTS AND SIMMER POTS:
You can reuse your Simmering Light with new Sprinkles by unplugging the warmer and allowing the wax to cool.
  • Remove dish from warmer and place in the freezer for 15 minutes or more.
  • Pop-out wax and either save for reuse or discard in household trash.
  • Cool the wax until it's a solid before disposal. Yes, paraffin and vegetable waxes are biodegradable and safe to put in the trash once cooled to solid form.

Sprinkles are specifically designed to work with our Simmering Lights, Simmer Pots and Glimmer Candles. For this reason, our Sprinkles do not perform the same in competitors warming systems. Our wax is a bit harder to maintain the integrity of the tiny Sprinkle and allow separation in the jar/carton as compared to the wax bar. That does not make it hard just a bit harder!

Due to this, it takes a little higher temperature to melt Sprinkles. This is all relative because these differences are small. The important thing is that our Simmer Pots and Simmering Lights are designed to optimally melt Sprinkles. This includes everything from design to material to shape and thickness. Our Simmer Pot dishes are high fire, stoneware ceramic. They are not porcelain which has similar heat transfer characteristics. People's perception of one being hotter than the other is more due to the thickness of the ceramic or porcelain. High fire stoneware is not to be confused with low fire earthenware ceramic which is porous to liquid until glazed and much less durable when heated and cooled repeatedly.
JUST ADD SOAKS:
  • Wallhugs: are our pluggable home fragrance diffusers that work 24/7 to diffuse your home. Simply choose your favorite soaks and enjoy using our reusable glass vessel. First, remove glass vessel from the pluggable unit. Then, using Paisley's tail as a fill line, fill the glass vessel with the Soaks of your choice. Place the glass vessel into the pluggable unit and turn on! Indicator light will reflect whether the Wallhug is on or off.

  • Go Cards & Hang-its: are mobile air fresheners ready to accept your personal blend of Soaks fluid for your on-the-go and small space fragrance needs. Apply up to 2 squirts of Soaks liquid directly to the Just Add Soaks product over a protected surface or inside a plastic bag. Do NOT oversoak to prevent the Soaks liquid from dripping onto other surfaces and avoid direct contact with all surfaces including car surfaces. Reapply in the same manner to refresh as needed. Fragrance will typically remain acceptable for a range of a few days to one week depending on environment and personal fragrance strength preference.

  • Natural Reeds: are our re-sealable Pink Zebra Reed Diffusers (natural sticks in a bottle of liquid fragrance) in a dry form that you add your Soaks liquid to. The Natural Reeds contain a re-usable cap to be used to "turn off" the fragrance throw when not in use, as well as, to flip the diffuser to re-saturate the Reeds. When returning diffuser to upright position, give Soaks a few minutes to drain from cap before removing. Add up to one bottle of Soaks Fragrance or blend a combination to create your own fragrance recipe. PZ Reeds are rattan. Rattan is made from one of many slender palm species. These are different from bamboo in that they are not hollow or segmented. There is no glue used, just a dried natural stem.

  • Woolies: are decorative pieces of fabric and natural wood. The wool is ready to accept your personal blend of Soaks fluid. Woolies cannot be washed. The fragrance will evaporate over time to allow you an opportunity to Soak with a completely new Fragrance. Apply Soaks along the top and allow gravity to saturate toward the bottom. Do NOT oversoak to prevent the Soaks liquid from dripping onto other surfaces and avoid soaking the wood base to protect surrounding surfaces.

  • Bobble Bodies: whimsically bob to the touch. They are dressed in decorative fabrics to Just Add Soaks. They are not washable. The fragrance will evaporate over time to allow you an opportunity to Soak with a completely new Fragrance. Apply Soaks along the top and allow gravity to saturate toward the bottom. Do NOT oversoak to prevent the Soaks liquid from dripping onto other surfaces.

  • Naturals: are beautiful, hand-made, natural decorative pieces prepared to absorb Soaks liquid fragrance and provide your small space with unique décor and provide fragrance simultaneously. Apply Soaks along the top and allow gravity to saturate toward the bottom. Avoid soaking the wood base to protect surrounding surfaces. Do NOT oversoak to prevent the Soaks liquid from dripping onto other surfaces.

  • Lotion: allows you to personalize your own signature scent by adding up to 2 squirts of Soaks liquid to the unscented lotion. Be sure to vigorously SHAKE WELL before applying. The lotion is enriched with aloe vera, vitamins, oils and shea butter. It is free of sulfates and parabens.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Which Pink Zebra products are made in the USA?
All Pink Zebra Home's Sprinkles, Lotion, and Soaks are made in Pink Zebra's factory in the USA.
Does Pink Zebra product/packaging contain BPA? What is BPA, and why is it harmful?
No, they do not. All Pink Zebra products use only BPA-free plastics. BPA (bisphenol A) is a chemical used in the manufacture of some plastics, mainly polycarbonate. Polycarbonate is a hard, clear plastic used in items such as CDs, eyeglass lenses, skylights and other glass substitutes. Baby bottles and toys made from polycarbonate may leach BPA, which is suspected to be a hormone disruptor. Many manufacturers have switched from polycarbonate to HDPE or PET plastics for children's products.
What is the percentage of soy in the Sprinkles?
They vary by fragrance, but all have more than 50%. Made to perform its best with our Glimmer Candle, each of the Sprinkles has a different percentage of soy wax. This is required to make one wick work with all of the different fragrances and colors. Soy wax does make up the majority of all Sprinkles formulas
Do my Sprinkles have an expiration date?
About 1 year. Storage conditions (heat & light) can affect the life of your Sprinkles, but under most household conditions, unused Sprinkles will retain their fragrance and color for at least 1 year.
What happens if I eat Sprinkles?
They taste terrible. DO NOT EAT SPRINKLES. Waxes are edible, but they are not very digestible and will mostly go through your system without being broken down. Even though many of their fragrance ingredients are shared with the flavor industry, Sprinkles are not considered edible, and ingestion should be avoided. A small amount accidentally eaten is no cause for concern, but larger amounts should be avoided, especially for those with specific fragrance allergies.
Are Sprinkles toxic?
Pink Zebra products are developed to be non-toxic at any reasonable use level. This all being said, toxicity is determined by the hazard level of the material and the quantity of the material exposure. Anything can be toxic at a high enough quantity. Water is considered toxic to humans if you ingest a high enough quantity.
Does Pink Zebra use essential oils?
Yes. Pink Zebra fragrances are a combination of essential, organic and synthetic oils.
Does Pink Zebra grade the essential oils use?
No. There is no standardized method to segregate essential oils. Classifying them in to grades such as "medicinal grade", "therapeutic grade", or "aromatherapy grade" is strictly a marketing technique.
Why does Pink Zebra use synthetic oils?
Conservation. Several essential oils are harvested from threatened species. Sandalwood, rosewood, frankincense and others are listed on Crop Watch's list of threatened plant species. Synthetic oils are a key component to the preservation of these species and the only way to keep these aromas available for future generations.
  • Selection. The variety of essential oils is limited. In the plant kingdom there are more than 250,000 plants. Of those, there are only about 450 plant species that produce usable essential oils.
    • Florals: Some common florals such as lilac, honeysuckle and freesia contain no essential oils.
    • Fruits: The flesh of fruits will not yield essential oils. Synthetics are required to produce fragrances of strawberry, blueberry, mango, peach, cherry, apple, pear, coconut, melons, banana and many more fruits.
    • Sugars: Some common florals such as lilac, honeysuckle and freesia contain no essential oils.
Are Air Care+ Soaks blendable?
Yes, you can mix together Air Care+ with other Soaks, but we recommend that you keep it pure if what you want is to clean the air.
How does Air Care+ work?
Air Care+ Soaks combines with common malodors such as smoke, pet, and kitchen odors on a molecular level. The resulting fragrance accord does not stimulate the original malodor olfactory receptor types in the nose – in other words, bad smells won't seem as bad.
How much Soaks do I use in the Natural Reeds?
One bottle of Soaks was designed to fill a Natural Reed bottle, but we encourage you to not use one whole bottle and instead blend other Soaks to create your own fragrance. Natural Reeds will also work with smaller amounts if you just want to experiment with your own fragrance blend, or if you like to change your fragrance more often.
What happens if I drink my Soaks?
It will taste terrible. DO NOT DRINK Soaks.
  • No aspiration hazards. The reed diffuser fluid is formulated under strict CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) guidelines to avoid an aspiration hazard if accidentally swallowed. Aspiration hazard occurs when the lungs are flooded by certain types of liquids that move through the lung walls.
  • Drink lots of water and seek medical attention if nausea is persistent.
Are Soaks flammable?
Soaks are combustible not flammable. A flammable liquid is much more dangerous than a combustible liquid.

It is all about at what minimum temperature the liquids can produce an ignitable gas just above the liquid surface. This is called flashpoint. For flammables, the flashpoint is below 140 degrees Fahrenheit and for combustibles it is over 140F (mostly over 200F). It still needs an ignition source (spark, flame, etc.) to ignite. That's why there isn't a fire at all gas stations. Gasoline has a flashpoint of -40 degrees Fahrenheit. It is a flammable liquid. Even at temperatures as low as - 40F, it gives off enough vapor to form a burnable mixture in the air. Cooking oils have a flashpoint around 600F. They are combustible liquids. Combustible liquids are very commonplace in all types of products in the home. Flammable liquids have special storage requirements and need handles with care.

Wallhugs gently warm Soaks. The Wallhug heating plate is vertically oriented to safely warm Soaks liquid fragrances.

Does combustible mean they also can't be kept in a hot car?

Soaks are car safe. For combustible to be unsafe. The material must go above its flashpoint and then come in contact with an open flame. Soaks have a flashpoint between 175F and 200F+ depending on the fragrance and a typical car interior would not get this hot.

Can Go-Cards be used in vacuums and air conditioning or/furnace filters?
Soaked Go-Cards can be used in any household filter or vent. It is not recommended putting one near the open flame of a furnace.
What is the average number of times a card can withstand soaking?
We have Go–Cards with 50+ applications that are over a year old in our labs with no functional issues. The Go–Card will become aesthetically unpleasant before any functionality comes into play.
Can you use Soaks in a Simmering Light or Simmer Pot?
No, it is not recommended as the temperature in both warmer types is too hot for Soaks. The Simmering Light light bulb and Simmer Pot heating plate heat from the bottom which is perfect for Sprinkles but will not work for liquid fragrances such as Soaks.
What happens if I put Air Care+ on my dog's collar?
Soaks have been updated as of the Fall/Winter 2017–18 Catalog. These new Soaks can easily be identified because of the new clear bottle. The new Soaks are skin safe, but as with all fragrance products, certain individuals and pets can have sensitivities.
What will Soaks do to fabric?
Soaks have been updated as of the Fall/Winter 2017–18 Catalog. These new Soaks can easily be identified because of the new clear bottle. The new Soaks contain no dyes and are practically water white, so any possible staining has been minimized dramatically. Always test on a small area if you have possible concerns regarding a certain fabric staining.

Where do I get replacement bulbs for my Simmering Lights warmer?
25-watt replacement bulbs are available through Pink Zebra.
Do Pink Zebra bulbs meet the EISA Incandescent Light Bulb requirements?
The EISA (Energy Independence and Security Act) was passed in 2007. It required a 25% reduction in energy usage by 2014 and a 70% drop by 2020 for light bulbs. The law exempted 22 categories from the regulation. Candelabra bulbs of 40W or less are one of the exempted categories. Therefore, Pink Zebra Simmering Light Bulbs are covered under this exemption.
Is it OK to add Sprinkles to prolong the fragrance?
Yes, this is a common practice to prolong the initial fragrance or to mix different fragrances. Just make sure you do not overfill the dish.
How long will Sprinkles last?
Initial strength is tested to last for 3 days in our 20-foot rule test. Strength past 3 days can be very powerful, and each user's personal preference, olfactory senses and environment all determine when Sprinkles have stopped performing.
At what temperature do our Sprinkles melt?
The Glimmer Candle concept necessitates that each Sprinkles fragrance has a slightly different formula. This is required to make one wick work with all types of fragrances and colors. All have melting points in the mid to high 120s, the highest topping out at about 130 degrees Fahrenheit.
What is the temperature the wax gets to in our Simmer Pots?
In PZ Simmer Pots and Simmering Lights warmers, the wax pool is usually in the range of 165 degrees Fahrenheit to 175 degrees Fahrenheit. Results may vary depending on ambient room temperature, serving size, drafts, location, etc.
Are the wicks 100% cotton, or do they have a burnable wire in them?
Cotton Wicks. We do not use metal core wicks. Our wicks are cotton with a treated cellulose fiber core. Our wicks are lead-free and made in the USA.
Can I use a different glass or different wick with Pink Zebra Sprinkles?
No. Extensive testing was conducted to size the glass and the wick to perform with Pink Zebra sprinkles. A fire hazard could result using untested glass or wick.
What is the difference between Supa' Clean™ Antibacterial Hand Soap and the Host VIP Box Soap?
Supa' Clean™ Antibacterial soap is made with additional ingredients so that it kills 99.9% of germs, leaving you feeling clean!
